About the customer
Opti App for Passenger is a project for our internal customer. Opti provides taxi services in more than 36 cities of Ukraine, the company's arsenal includes a wide variety of services: from transfer to the airport or to the railway station, to the transportation of pets or courier delivery.
task
The need to develop a new passenger application for taxis arose as a result of researching the user experience when interacting with the old application, we discovered many moments that seemed inconvenient and complicated the process of ordering a taxi. Noting these shortcomings, we understood that improving the functionality and user interface would help to improve the overall customer experience, increase the number of orders through the mobile application, simplify the interaction with the system for users and, as a result, lead to increased profits.
decision
We implemented comprehensive user experience (UX) research, which included testing the current design and studying user interaction with the application. By analyzing this data, we identified specific stages at which users encounter difficulties. Having also carried out a comparative analysis with competitors, we created a prototype that takes into account all the identified needs.
Conducting prototype testing among users and an experimental approach allowed us to achieve the optimal combination of convenience and modern design. To ensure the ease of scaling the application in the future, we implemented a design system. The application was developed for the Android and iOS platforms, as well as optimized for Huawei devices.
